Neo4j - Explainer
Under the Hood
Role highlights:
• Visual storytelling
• Campaign strategy
• Technical translation
• Design systems
• Developer engagement
• Product integration
Brief "Under the Hood" was a campaign created to unpack the technical depth of Neo4j’s graph database. I led the development of a systematized visual narrative that demystified performance, scalability, and real-world use cases—bridging deep tech with engaging storytelling to elevate the brand’s leadership in graph technology.
Audience Developers, data architects, and technical decision-makers seeking intuitive explanations of complex data solutions like Neo4j’s graph database platform.
Approach Using my principles of clarity, structure, and visual hierarchy, I created modular content that integrated into product education, onboarding, and marketing. Graphics and simplified flows were grounded in real use cases and aligned with the design system, allowing repeatable use across web, product UI, and documentation.
Outcome The campaign drove stronger developer engagement and increased technical content consumption across channels. By aligning design with product messaging, it reinforced Neo4j’s market positioning, extended the design system’s reach, and led to measurable upticks in brand trust, product trials, and content shareability.

Leading the Neo4j creative team remotely, I collaborated closely with the in-house team based at the main office in Malmö, Sweden. I directed the creative development of the explainer series, aligning illustrators, content strategists, and key stakeholders around a unified vision. My leadership ensured consistent visual storytelling, technical accuracy, and brand coherence across all assets—strengthening internal collaboration and driving clarity across a highly technical, global product narrative.
